The name of the 18th surah of the Qur'an is Surah Kahf. This is for a group of young people called Al-Kahf who are sure to escape from people and take refuge in a cave, by the discretion of Allah, to enjoy them for many years.
In this parable, besides the people called Companions Kehf, they also have a dog named Kıtmir. The dog also slept with its owners for many years. Here, the Kıtmir prayer takes its name from this dog.
